IT’S BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH

Every October, Louisville joins the nation’s efforts to shine a light on breast cancer during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Local organizations host mobile mammography units at churches, community centers, and health fairs to bring accessible screening to neighborhoods across the region. Meanwhile, community groups put on events to raise awareness, celebrate survivors, and rally support for education, resources, and research. In Louisville, this month is a call to action—to get screened, to support local survivors, and to strengthen the connections between health services and communities in need.
