IT’S WORLD BREAST CANCER RESEARCH DAY
World Breast Cancer Research Day, observed annually on August 18, serves as a global reminder of the critical importance of breast cancer research. The date was chosen to reflect the statistic that one in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. In Louisville, this day is marked by various events and initiatives aimed at raising awareness, supporting ongoing research, and honoring those affected by breast cancer. And there are numerous resources around the city to help those in need.
